Denise Liddell
Director, Occupational Therapist

As a Director at Aspire Options, Denise is most passionate about delivering client-centred care. To work with each participant and assist them in working towards their goals, safety, independence and participation in purposeful and meaningful activity. Denise has extensive experience working across the health and disability sectors that include experience working with both adults and children with disabilities. Denise enjoys the opportunity she has as an Occupational Therapist to work closely with each participant to achieve a life full of possibilities.

Courtney Vallender
Director, Physiotherapist

As a Director at Aspire Options, Courtney is passionate about delivering supports which are inclusive, person centred and evidenced based as a means of supporting people with disabilities to achieve their goals and aspirations. Courtney has extensive experience in Physiotherapy within the disability sector across the lifespan and has worked in many different settings such as Early Intervention, Neurological Rehabilitation and Aged Care. Courtney is also passionate about supporting the learning and development of allied health professionals and is of the belief that Aspire Options fosters the growth and development of all employees thus contributing to a healthy workplace culture. Courtney thoroughly enjoys the opportunity she has as a Physiotherapist to work with people to build their capacity in terms of their function and participation and live a life full of possibilities.

Regan Hollioake
Physiotherapist

Regan has recently joined the Aspire Options team and brings with her eight years’ physio experience working in both the public and private sectors. She is passionate about empowering her clients to reach their goals and improve their quality of life. Regan’s enthusiastic, caring nature paired with her client centred approach helps to bring the best out in her clients and maximise their potential.

Sharna Demaio
Speech Pathologist

Sharna is passionate about advocating for people living with a disability and will always go above and beyond to support her clients and their families throughout their journey. Specialising in Early Childhood Intervention Services (ECIS) a program that assists children with developmental delays or disabilities, their family and early childhood support such as childcare centres and kindergartens. Sharna has also completed training with AAC (Alternative and Augmentative Communication) and Fussy Eating/Problem Feeders expanding her skills and providing her clients with the best evidence-based practice to assist them in achieving their goals. Sharna enjoys working with a multidisciplinary team having a common goal in mind – to assist people with a disability to live their best quality of life.

Yolanda Maudsley
Speech Pathologist

Yolanda is driven to deliver high-quality health care in regional areas.  Having grown up in a rural area herself, she values high-quality health care locally. She is passionate about her role as a speech pathologist in building communication skills and working as a part of a team with other professionals. Yolanda joins Aspire Options having extensive industry experience working with children and adults across several programs within Community Health, Early Childhood Intervention, Acute and Rehabilitation. Yolanda respects each of her clients as individuals and celebrates diversity. She works to tailor their therapy and interactions to best suit the needs of each client to achieve an optimal outcome for all involved.

Lauren Haynes
Speech Pathologist

Lauren joins us with nine and a half years’ experience in Speech Pathology. Lauren describes her strengths as friendly, creative, adaptable, and compassionate. A typical day for Lauren includes home visits with clients, day-care and school visits with Early Intervention clients. Lauren describes the most inspiring part of her job to be 'Working with families and seeing positive changes in a client’s life'. We asked Lauren what her favourite memory of her professional career to date was;  "Developing positive working relationships, also watching a young, non-verbal client go from saying no words to having the ability to say ‘more’ ".

Carley Beer
Allied Health Assistant

With over 16 years of experience as an Early Childhood Educator, Carley joins the Aspire Options team as an Allied Health Therapy Assistant (Paediatrics). Carley's passion for supporting children and their families, assisting them in reaching for the stars, and supporting their growth and development in such a critical time in their lives for learning and development. Having strong beliefs that every child and family are individual and unique, drawing on industry knowledge, skills, and experience as a mum herself to understand support networks and a collaborative approach in care. Carley is a bright,  bubbly and compassionate person with a friendly smile who has a professional interest with a personal approach in all things relevant to children with additional needs and learning difficulties.

Liz Scott
Physiothrapist

Liz comes to Aspire Options with 10 years of clinical experience working in a number of different settings such as neurological and orthopaedic rehabilitation, private practice (sports and spinal), clinical pilates, women's health, Lymphoedema management and aged care. Growing up in a country town, Liz has also spent some time working rurally where she has gained invaluable experience working with people of all ages and abilities achieve their goals and aspirations in terms of their physical health and wellbeing and participation. Liz has a can-do approach to her work and is passionate about empowering clients and giving them a voice.

Lori Parmley
Social Worker

Lori comes to Aspire Options with experience in mental health and education (student wellbeing) sectors. People find Lori to be a genuine, enthusiastic, friendly and understanding person to work with. Lori enjoys working with children, adolescents and adults along with their families and carers to support them to achieve their goals and improve their overall quality of life. Lori enjoys supporting others to improve skills related to social skills and relationships, self-advocacy, emotional regulation, independence and wellbeing. Lori describes the most fulfilling aspects of her role to be celebrating the small wins, seeing clients progress emotionally and socially as well as working as a team with families to build capacity.

Tayla Robinson
Speech Pathologist

Tayla joins Aspire Options with a passion for providing equal access and opportunities for all. People find Tayla to be a friendly, motivated, passionate and innovative clinician. Tayla loves her role as a speech pathologist as she understands the part that communication plays in participating in the community, developing friendships and living a fulfilling life. She is passionate about using fun, natural and functional interventions to make the individual as independent as possible.  Prior to Aspire Options, Tayla has been developing her skills and knowledge in school-aged assessment and intervention. This includes but is not limited to individuals with articulation, language and functional communication goals as well as individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Tayla has worked extensively within a Response to Intervention framework and as such is able to recognise that each person has different circumstances and how to allocate the appropriate resources and opportunities needed to reach an equal outcome and achieve their best quality of life.

Chloe Ernest
Speech Pathologist

Chloe's desire to be a Speech Pathologist comes from wanting to support young people to develop their social communication skills and to help families and communities remove barriers to participation that persons with disabilities face. She enjoys working with families, carers and community members to support persons with disabilities to live their best life. With a string focus on inclusivity, Chloe strives to support clients to successfully engage in their environments and connect with their families and peers. Chloe is motivated to provide quality care to clients when she sees the progress they make and understands how this growth enriches the client's life. With a drive to provide the best services to clients, she shows dedication to lifelong learning, taking every opportunity to advance her knowledge and skills.

Stephanie Sorraghan
Occupational Therapist

Stephanie joins Aspire Options as a new-graduate OT eager to support people living with disability to participate and be included in activities of daily living they enjoy and find important. Stephanie is particularly interested in working with individuals living with psychosocial disabilities, and has past experience as a Support Worker and OT Assistant, as well as OT experience working with individuals living with mental illness and experiencing homelessness in the Melbourne CBD area. Stephanie has also completed research on the meaning of inclusion within sport and recreation from the perspective of people living with disability and their families, an area she is particularly interested in. Stephanie is keen to bring her skills to the Goulburn Valley region and hopes to continue building her skills and supporting clients to engage in meaningful lives.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: COVID-19

With a COVID SAFE plan in place, Aspire Options is continuing to offer face-to-face therapy services (whilst applying social distancing, correct PPE, hand hygiene and appropriate cleaning).

Telehealth, Zoom and FaceTime appointments will continue to be available for safety and convenience.

The health and safety of our clients, their families and our team remain paramount. We are confident our team can provide a quality face-to-face service while adhering to our Coronavirus Policy (which continues to be modified according to the environmental factors and governmental directives and supports a safe environment for our clients and team alike).
